Staff of Robert Whitt

Amber Crum (Legal Assistant and Paralegal)

Amber focuses on estate planning and real estate matters. Amber has worked with Robert since 2007. She is a graduate of East Gaston High School and the Belmont Abbey College honors program.

She is the primary contact person in the office for these transactions and assists with questions about all other general aspects of the practice of law.

She brings to the firm an attitude of helpfulness, great attention to detail, and a willingness to complete each and every task so that it is resolved in the best interest of our clients. Because it is so important for an attorney and his staff to communicate openly with clients, Amber works with both the client and the attorney  to do this. Amber demonstrates her loyalty by making sure that no detail is left unattended in the representation that clients receive at this office.

Melissa Ward (Legal Assistant and Paralegal)

Melissa has worked with Robert since 1993 and together they have formed an excellent team in which she has served in most capacities, short of being the Attorney. She is a lifelong resident of Gaston County, and an honors graduate of East Gaston High school and Central Piedmont Community College.

She also attended Wingate University. Melissa brings a breadth of knowledge to the office as she has performed every possible task that a legal assistant can handle during the many years she has worked with Robert.

She handles Estate Administration and Elder Law primarily. Melissa is dedicated to the office and the clients and her professional work ethic is demonstrated on a daily basis. She is thorough with every task that she undertakes, a quality that is evident in her work effort. She brings all necessary matters to Robert’s attention and together they work to assure that the client has a productive and satisfying experience.
